i dont think you get what i'm saying.

looking at all three of them, none of them do that. it's just alternating light and darks to match up and create a certain effect.

i'm not saying there's anything wrong with simple layouts. i guess what i meant is that the fade starts off with a very dark color and ends with a very light color, which i dont like. i think it looks funny being such a drastic fade like that.

well, for one, i personally liked the stripes-it added enough color without over-doing it. there's also nothing wrong with simple layouts. personally, i get tons of requests for them. not every layout need to be complicated and overloaded with colors and brushes and millions of pictures, even if it is the fad.
